Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
(1) Engine Driver
- Qualification: Matriculation and Certificate of Competency as an Engine Driver from a recognized institute.
- Experience: Two years’ service as Sarang on a vessel with over 400 Boat Horsepower.
- Age Limit: 18-30 years (relaxation as per government norms).
(2) Sarang Lascar
- Qualification: Matriculation pass or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- Experience: three years experience
- Age Limit: 18-30 years.
(3) Lascar
- Qualification: Matriculation pass from a Board or equivalent.
- Experience: Two years as Sarang in charge of a vessel with over 20 Horsepower.
- Age Limit: 18-30 years.
(4) Fire Engine Driver
- Qualification: Matriculation pass.
- Age Limit: 18-30 years.
(5) Fireman
- Qualification: Matriculation pass.
- Age Limit: 18-27 years.
(6) Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade)
- Qualification: Matriculation with a valid driving license for both heavy and light motor vehicles.
- Experience: At least two years’ experience in driving.
- Age Limit: 18-27 years.
(7) MTS (Peon & Chowkidar)
- Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent.
- Experience: Two years’ experience as an office attendant or Chowkidar.
- Age Limit: 18-27 years.
(8) MT Fitter
- Qualification: Matriculation Pass.
- Age Limit: 18-27 years.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The selection process includes the following steps:
- Scrutiny of Applications: All applications will be scrutinized to ensure eligibility.
- Written Examination: A written exam will be conducted, consisting of 80 objective-type questions covering General Knowledge, Mathematics, English, and trade-related subjects.
